How membership family medicine works
What the membership covers
- Visits as long as they need to be
- Same-day or next-day appointments when you are sick
- A direct line to Dr. Metzger
- Referrals, with follow-up on the results
- Reminders for checkups, screenings and labs
What it does not cover
- Outside labs and imaging
- Prescriptions
- Specialist and hospital care
- Wellness, weight loss, aesthetic and screening services, which are separate from membership
Membership is not insurance
A membership agreement with Metzger Family Medicine is not health or accident insurance or coverage and is not regulated by the Texas Department of Insurance. It covers only the services stated in the agreement. It does not pay for care from other providers, so many members keep a health plan. This notice is given before you enter into a membership agreement.
