Dr. Tyler Metzger, DO
Dr. Metzger is a board-certified family medicine physician offering a full range of medical services. He trained at Louisiana State University and William Carey University and completed his family medicine residency at Baylor Scott & White. He also teaches medical students through Texas A&M's medical school at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

How does membership work?
Dr. Metzger takes on a limited number of patients, and members pay a set fee for their care. In return you get longer visits, quick appointments, a direct line to your doctor and help coordinating with specialists. Details and pricing are available on request.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
Usually, yes. Because the practice is small, members can typically be seen the same day or the next.
Is Metzger Family Medicine a concierge practice?
Yes. It is a membership-based direct primary care practice. A set membership fee covers your visits and your access to Dr. Metzger, so you are not billed every time you come in or call.
Do I need insurance?
No. Your membership covers your care at Metzger Family Medicine, so you do not need insurance to become a patient. Many members do keep a health plan for things outside primary care, such as hospital stays, surgery or specialist visits, and we are happy to help you think through what makes sense for your family.
Which areas do you serve?
Patients come from across Dallas–Fort Worth, most often Preston Hollow, the Park Cities (Highland Park and University Park), Far North Dallas, Addison, Farmers Branch, Carrollton, Richardson and Plano. The office is on LBJ Freeway near the Galleria.
What if I need care after hours?
Members can reach Dr. Metzger directly by phone or email 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If something is wrong on a Saturday night, you can talk to your own doctor.
